Only you can answer that question. It is Thursday morning and you have made it to this point in your life. How do you truly feel about the efforts that you have put towards your goals? Have you pushed the envelop to force a little more success? Recently I shared information about obesity and challenges that it brings to children and to adults. Our health is so important and without a clear reason why most likely you will move slower towards your goals. We have 1 body and 1 life to live. What we do daily will add to it or possibly remove from it. The great thing about this is that you can control your daily activities. How is your quality of life? Did you know? The health related quality of life is a concept that includes physical, mental, emotional, and social functioning. People with higher levels of well being judge their life as going well. People feel healthy and full of energy to complete their daily activities and live cheerful rather than depressed or anxious lives. Have you ever noticed that it is harder to get a friend or family member to eat healthy in comparison to eating not so healthy foods or drinks? Have you noticed that if you hang around negative people that you become a little negative too? So, I go back to my original question, Are You Important? People who get along with others and experience good social relationships tend to have longer more fulfilled lives. Of course, there is no guarantee that everyone will live long lives just because they had a positive circle of relationships, yet studies have shown that social well being has a direct relation to life. Social well being involves providing and receiving quality support from family, friends, and others. Mental well being includes being satisfied with one's life. It also requires balancing positive and negative emotions while finding purpose and meaning in one's life. Another part is finding personal growth, autonomy, and competence in all aspects of your life. Lastly, physical well being is feeling full of energy and vitality.
