Oxford Dictionary: definition of discipline.
The practice of training people to obey rules or a code of behavior, with punishment or other undesired consequences for those failing to comply.
A branch of knowledge, typically one studied in higher education.
There are multiple definitions for the word so I have kept it short.
We have made it to the middle of January 2026. What steps have you taken to move towards your goals?
As you know on this website I am constantly focused on faith, fitness, and finance. So I am checking in with you to see where you are at.
I also want to share just a few key pointers about discipline. Discipline will help you stay focused when your motivation is low. Discipline will help you keep your eyes fixed on your goal. Discipline will help hold you accountable to the standards that you have set for yourself. The way that you do one thing, will reflect the way you do other things. For example, if you constantly cheat on your meal plan, you will cheat or cut corners in other aspects of your life. If you constantly skip workouts, you will slow down your success. If you constantly stay up late, your body will not recuperate from the intense workouts that you have put yourself through. If you're constantly stressed, you will cause your body to secrete cortisol that works against your fitness and mental success.
Aren't you tired of going down that path if this is you? Let 2026 be the year that you break free from lack of discipline. Trust me, I get tired too. My motivational levels drop. My body has aches, pains, and illnesses. My cash flow fluctuates up and down, so I am still going through the natural parts of life that we as humans face. However, my level of discipline is what allows me to continue to press forward regardless of all the mayhem that is happening around me.
In closing, you must believe in yourself and love yourself enough to continue being disciplined on your pursuit toward your goals. God has kept you here and has given you another day to work on the plan. The choice is yours!
Sincerely,
-Coach James
