Happy Thursday!

The month is almost over! Wow, is it me or is time moving faster? Almost 3 months are gone in 2019. So, what are you doing to make this the best year for you and your family? Let's look at your morning activities. It’s Thursday morning and you are just waking up. What is the first thing that you do? I like to give thanks to God for allowing me to see a new day. I believe that no day is promised and each day above ground is a blessing. After I give thanks, I like to get moving to wake up my muscles so I quickly stretch and then it is on with the rest of my day. I will share more details in the future. Let's look at what other successful people do in the morning to gather more ideas.

Steve Jobs revealed in a commencement address he gave at Stanford in 2005 that for the for the past 33 years, he has looked in the mirror every morning and asked himself: “If today were the last day of my life, would I want to do what I am about to do today?”

And whenever the answer has been no for too many days in a row, I know I need to change something.

Ron Friedman, founder and author shares this: Ask yourself this question the moment you sit at your desk: The day is over and I am leaving the office with a tremendous sense of accomplishment. What have I achieved?

Kenneth Chenault, CEO, shares that the last thing he does before leaving his office at night is to write down the top three things he wants to accomplish tomorrow. Then he’ll use that list to start his next day.

Anna Wintour, editor-in-chief, shares that she plays tennis. Starts each day at 5:45 a.m. with an hour-long tennis match.

Margaret Thatcher, former U.K. prime minister wakes up at 5:00 a.m. to listen to “Farming Today,” a popular program on BBC Radio about food, farming, and the countryside.

Benjamin Franklin, a founding father of the United States, had a morning routine from 5:00 a.m. to 7:00 a.m. and included addressing “Powerful Goodness” and setting a plan for the rest of his day. Every morning Franklin asked himself, “What good shall I do today?”

Make sure you really take a look at how you start your day so that you set yourself up for success. Your mindset really matters and you have control over it. If you do not have a routine now is a great time to start one. If your current one needs improvement find a new way to do it now!

Have a fantastic Day!
