How was your day?

Did you perform at your peak level?

In a previous post I shared about character and the importance of keeping your focus on the person you are changing into. This goes along with you giving your best efforts in order to reach the goals you are trying to attain.

So what are your goals? I will share a few of my goals:

Decrease my percent body fat to 12%

Increase my overall endurance by 10% so that I can constantly hit 1ok steps per day

My bodyfat has increased because of my time away from exercise due to illness and my poor adjustment of the calories that I consumed during that time. I noticed that I was eating the same healthy foods as when I was training, but moving less which led to weight gain. Now that my health has improved I am training again and will see the improvements come.

I have been getting close to 6.5k steps for the last 6 months and I am working my way to 10k steps. I have been conditioning my mind, body, and spirit to get more active in walking/jogging. I have issues with my knees aching and have found ways to help ease the pain. I have to be mindful of the rest/recuperation time needed so that I am not over training.

I share this with you because I have to perform just like you each day. I have other roles in life besides being a coach so I understand how life gets busy, stressful, overwhelming, and complicated at times. Life will hit you hard. Life will knock you down. Your response is what matters. How you respond when the hits come will determine your success in the pursuit of your goals. The bumps and bruises, aches, pains, and frustrations are all part of the process. You must trust the process and not give up on your goals. You must perform at your best and not be mediocre because you have greatness within you. I believe it, do you?

Truly Yours,

Coach James Henderson
