"A positive attitude is a choice, like walking to the other side of a street to avoid trouble or making a 180-degree turn when you feel you're heading in the wrong direction." - Richard M. DeVos
Happy Monday! Do you remember the case of the Mondays? You know, when you get up Monday still tired from the weekend, not wanting to do anything, especially got to work? Does it even happen anymore? Did you know that you control that feeling? The great thing about us is that we can control our minds and make better decisions that put us in a better mood that will lead to success. Yes, you can change how you think at any moment which will have a different effect. For example, I had a tough night sleeping because the temperature was higher then I am used to. I tossed and turned more then normal and woke up sweating. So, I didn't wake up feeling my best. Once I noticed the negative thoughts coming in I quickly thought about the fact that I woke up. I am always grateful for another day of life. Second, I am glad I got to sleep. Some people suffer from insomnia and don't sleep for days. Third, since I was sweating, as nice refreshing shower really felt amazing to cleanse my body. I could have easily gone down the negative path of I am tired, I am hot, and I am in a bad mood. However, I identified the situation and took a different path. You have the power to do the same thing regardless of your situation. Make sure you address those negative thoughts immediately and continue to be more positive. Make it a FANTASTIC week! Respectfully, James Henderson
Have You Earned Your Tomorrow
By Edgar Guest
Is anybody happier because you passed his way? Does anyone remember that you spoke to him today? This day is almost over, and its toiling time is through; Is there anyone to utter now a kindly word of you? Did you give a cheerful greeting to the friend who came along? Or a churlish sort of "Howdy" and then vanish in the throng? Were you selfish pure and simple as you rushed along the way, Or is someone mighty grateful for a deed you did today? Can you say tonight, in parting with the day that's slipping fast, That you helped a single brother of the many that you passed? Is a single heart rejoicing over what you did or said; Does a man whose hopes were fading now with courage look ahead? Did you waste the day, or lose it, was it well or sorely spent? Did you leave a trail of kindness or a scar of discontent? As you close your eyes in slumber do you think that God would say, You have earned one more tomorrow by the work you did today?
