Happy Monday!

December To Remember!

Greetings! How are you? What a wonderful day this is right? Yes, we are 9 days from Christmas! Are you excited?

Today I wanted to share 3 quick ways to make sure you are motivated to accomplish all that you wanted in the remaining days of 2019

1. Set small, measurable goals. For example, you want to lose 50lbs in 2 months, right? That is a pretty big goal to accomplish. The best way it to set small goals of losing 2-3lbs per week that would get you about 8-12lbs lighter in a month. Once you have accomplished this you can challenge yourself a bit more to get more weight off over the next month.

2. Develop a mantra or affirmation. A mantra is a verbal statement that reinforces a positive mindset. An affirmation means to state positively. To assert something, such as a judgment or decree as valid or confirmed. To show or express a strong belief in or dedication to. They can be extremely helpful when it comes to keeping your motivation up and your spirits high. Come up with a statement that really resonates with you. It can be something simple like “I am a champion, and I can get through this,” or you can get more creative. Start off every morning by repeating your mantra out loud. The more repetitions, the more you’ll believe it! 3. Commit publicly. As an individual, it is easy to slack off and lose motivation. We are quick to let ourselves off the hook, procrastinate, and find justifications for giving up on our goals. Commit to your goals by sharing them with your friends and family. Not only will this create a support system, it will help you to feel more accountable for achieving your goal.
