Routine

Happy TUESDAY! How is your week going so far? What is your plan? That is actually what I want to write about today. We all know that we need to have structure. We need to have a routine. However, what I want to share with you is how do you know when it is time to change it? I asked myself this question because I am always looking for way to improve. So, think about what you normally do in the morning. Perhaps it goes like this, alarm clock, snooze button, wake up, and shower, eat, and get dressed for work. Drive in traffic to work for 30-60 minutes, work 8 - 10 hours, and drive to gym, workout, and drive home. Then once you are home, shower, make dinner, watch a little TV, and go to bed. Now, I know this is just a general routine and you may have things in a totally different order. What I am looking at is the pattern to see if there is any room for improvement. For example, how about going to bed 15-30 minutes earlier so that you feel rested and do not want to hit the snooze button. You hop out of bed, get a little snack, get dressed and drive to the gym. You have fantastic high energy workout, then drive home, shower, eat breakfast and get ready for work. You drive in traffic 30-60 minutes, work 8-10 hours, and then drive home. What difference would this make in your life? What more could you get accomplished? Does it make your life easier or harder? Take some time to evaluate your routine to see if you can improve it.
