Napping is not just for babies/kids. Studies show that an afternoon nap is great for adults too! A short nap can boost memory, improve job performance, lift your mood, make you more alert, and ease stress.

Benefits 1. A nap can help you remember things learned earlier in the day and it works to keep you from forgetting things like motor skills, sense perception, and verbal recall.

2. Helps your brain draw connections between things you find out.

3. Helps keep you consistent in your work performance.

4. Helps as a mood booster even if you rest for an hour lying down whether you fall asleep or not.

5. Better than sipping coffee because napping will improve memory and learning.

6. If you are under stress experts believe that a 30-minute nap will release stress and improve your immune health.

7. Studies show a 30-minute nap between 1 pm and 3 pm combined with moderate exercise helps improve nighttime sleep.

8. For preschool age children naps are critical for learning and development. Children are able to recall things they learned.

9. The time to nap depends on how rested you are to begin with. If you are well rested, a slightly later nap is better. If you are lacking sleep, you will need to nap earlier.
