What does it mean to you? It means everything to me because without it I would not be able to do the things I want to do. Recently, I walked through a hospital and was reminded that health is super important. When was the last time you were in the hospital? Think about people that you know that are in and out of the hospital for various health complications. I hope you are grateful that you are doing things that will help you instead of hinder your success. Today I want to share what I found about a super important organ in our bodies. Here are a few ways to take care of it. A) Acetaminophen is found in more than 600 meds. Most adults should not get more than 4,000 milligrams per day. B) Practice safe sex to avoid hepatitis C that will directly infects it. C) Make sure you take all your meds as directed so that you do not harm it. D) Review that herbs you are consuming such as borage, comfrey, gromwell, and coltsfoot that have pyrrolizidine alkaloids. E) Drink in moderation. Too much drinking will lead fatty liver F) Eat the rainbow by choosing fruits and vegetables to ensure you get all the nutrients and fiber you need. G) Keep a healthy body weight because this will lower your chance of nonalcoholic fatty liver disease. H) Wash your hands to keep germs away that could infect your liver. I) Avoid toxins such as cleaning products, spray cans, and insecticides that could harm your cells if you touch, absorb, or breathe in too much of them. J) Check for liver damage especially if you have a family history of liver disease. K) Check with Dr. about a vaccination if necessary for hepatitis A and B. Make sure you are eating plenty of fiber rich foods, proteins, complex carbs, fruits, and veggies. It is hot outside so make sure you are well hydrated. Your body will thank you. Have an AWESOME Thursday! Make IT A Great Day!
