We are almost half way through the 4 month in 2018. Time waits for no one. So, every moment counts towards you taking the necessary steps to achieving whatever you are working towards. It is there for you to achieve, so my question is are you doing it? Are you pursuing that goal(s) that you set up at the beginning of the year? Here is some information on how to achieve greatness in your life. These are some insights from former professional football player Lewis Howes. His goals and dreams were broken when he broke his wrist and had to recovery for about 1.5 years. He was broke, unemployed, and sleeping on his sister's coach. Mr. Howes hit rock bottom and realized he had no other skills in life. See It Mr. Howes recommends to start with a vision whether it is losing a certain amount of weight or making a certain amount progress in your personal, spiritual, or professional life. Peak performers have a precise and clear vision of exactly what they want to achieve in life. A lot of people are not clear on what they want. An example of success is Maria Sharapova who decided as a kid that she wanted to be number one in the world. She wanted to be the greatest of all time. It is important to write your vision down with a specific date when it is going to be achieved and reviewing this paper every single day. You will then align yourself with your vision which will help you overcome moments of adversity, burn out, or overwhelming times. Build on a Foundation Imagine if a house is built on a weak foundation, it will not withstand the wind, rain, earthquakes, and hurricanes. It will crumble. The same thing applies with building relationships with other people. Building a solid foundation based on care, honesty, integrity, and respect will keep a strong bond that is sturdy and can withstand adversity. With professional relationships, nothing cements a relationship like face to face meeting. Why do most big business deals/decisions take place in the board room? Because everyone involved has an opportunity to share thoughts, concerns, and ideas with other key decision makers. Connecting with humans by showing that you care translates into building trust with your audience, asking them what their biggest challenges or needs are, and then helping them find solutions. Coaching Counts Having a coach will help you with many parts of your life. Coaching can come in many ways whether you read books, follow key leaders, or hire a professional accountability coach. This person is responsible for guiding you to your goal and providing feedback for your success. This person is someone you trust, learn from, grow your network, and celebrate your success with. Make sure you consider these to help your journey of success. It makes more sense to find things/people to help you get to your goal(s) faster without as much frustration, set backs, and struggles. Keep working hard and smart so you see your success faster.
