What a joyous day. A new week of opportunities for success. How was your weekend? Did you get something accomplished towards your goals? No matter how big or small, did you make an effort? This is the day for you to make positive steps while other people you know may be taking a break. Monday is the day that most people call in the sick. People enjoy having a 3 day weekend. Calling in sick is sometimes an option. It is also a way out for facing Monday. Since you are moving towards your goals, I am assuming that you did not call in sick today. Here is to a great Monday! Remember these because they can really help you stay motivated. Education is Important Your brain can release hormones such as serotonin, endorphins, and dopamine to make you feel better. Serotonin is release when you feel significant and have a sense of internal satisfaction. Endorphins are designed to relieve stress and enhance pleasure. Endorphins are released with certain foods, social connections, and light exercise. Dopamine motivates you to take action toward goals and desires, and gives you pleasure when achieving them. Action is what will release dopamine. Be Aware of Perceptions Do you perceive the event as painful, boring, and dreadful? Did you know that if you go to the emotional danger zone, you most likely will procrastinate. Truth Will Set Free There is no reason to hide the truth from yourself. Your mind needs to be tuned in to what is happening. For example, if you dread washing dishes, take time to feel the warm water, see and smell the suds, wash it, rinse it, and dry it. What is really that bad? Keep it honest with yourself so that you will have peace of mind. Gratitude is Major Tap into gratitude to finalize new perceptions. You are glad to have a house to clean, to pay for, and for a cell phone bill that keeps you closer to friends and family. You are grateful to have all these things, and you are motivated to take care of and appreciate them.
