What are you putting in your tank today? Here are some good items to enjoy that will provide you with fiber, low fat, nutrient dense calories. -Lentils are a good source of fiber, folate, iron, and potassium. -Eggs are loaded with vitamin D, A, and Choline. Each egg has about 6 grams of protein. -Oatmeal is full of fiber and antioxidants. Oatmeal helps lower cholesterol and boost your immune system. -White Potatoes that are not deep fried or covered in butter/sour cream are full of great nutrients. They have vitamin C, fiber, and potassium. They help with lowering blood pressure and cholesterol. -Sweet Potatoes are loaded with vitamin A and C. They have more sugar then regular white potatoes, however, sweet potatoes have fewer calories and carbs. They have more fiber. -Sardines are a good source of protein, calcium, vitamin D, and omega 3 fatty acids. Chose the ones packed in water, not oil. -Whole Grain Pasta are low in fat, high in fiber, and low in salt. -Bananas are loaded with fiber, vitamin B6, C, and potassium which help balance blood pressure and keeps your heart healthy.
