Running Into Your Week

Welcome to the week of love. This Wednesday is a special date set aside to show extra love to that special someone in your life, right? In many stores you see all of the bears, the flowers, the candy, and the hearts. It’s very cute to see all the different companies put together various eye catching decorations to entice us to buy.

This is also another week for you to pursue your dreams and goals. Almost half of February is gone and I know you are making progress. How much progress is something you control based on your daily actions. So how many step will you take today?

One of the biggest things that I see around this time is a decline of people who are still focused on their goals. This is an unfortunate thing because everyone starts of the race strong, yet some burnout, slow down, or quit. The going gets tough and when success is not happening as fast disbelief sets in.

I know first hand because of my previous experiences especially when I was trying to move up from an entry-level position. I had done a great job, picked up new knowledge, and skills which allowed me to believe I was ready for a new challenge. I applied for multiple internal positions that lined up with what I knew, yet I only got one interview for a position that I knew wouldn't make my happy or meet my needs.

So, I had to face a hard decision, stay in the same position and hope something would change or just leave and pursue a new opportunity. I left for something more challenging that forced me to grow.

This is my example of assessing my situation and doing what was best for my future. You have your decisions to make about your current path. Remember, we only have 24 hours per day to take the necessary steps for success. You can focus on each hour. What do you want to get accomplished?

Have A Fantastic Monday & Awesome Week!
