We made it! Another week is almost completed and then our weekend adventures begin. So, what are your plans? Make sure you review this information as you are making your plans. Sleep If you are not getting enough sleep you could more likely to have high blood pressure, heart disease, diabetes, and depression. Set up your sleep routine and stick to 7-8 hours. Volume Make sure you are not blasting your headphones too loud. About 75 decibels is recommended which is a little louder than 60 decibels for a normal conversation. You are more likely to lose your hearing if you are around loud noise a lot. Bedtime Studies have shown that too much of "blue light" given off by TV's, phones, and computers is linked to cancer, especially prostate and breast cancer. Sipping and Chugging Men who have more than 14 alcoholic beverages a week and women who have more than 7 are more likely to have kidney disease, liver disease, heart problems, and some cancers. Junk Food These are linked to serious health problems like obesity, diabetes, and heart disease. Junk food such as soda, candy, and pastries have a lot of calories with little nutritional value.
