Thank you for taking time to read this!
Wow!
We are in the final week of January 2018. It's Monday. It's go time! So what are you going for this week? Are you going for your promotion at work? Are you going for that 2 to 4lb weight loss this week? Will you be setting a new personal record for your long distance running, sprints, or weight lifting? You see we all have something that we're going for. Something that we're working towards day in and day out. We don't believe in the “case of the Mondays” simply because we view Monday as another day for us to move closer to our dreams and goals, right?
Here are some great tips that I learned about starting the work week right.
Start this week with renewed energy, a huge smile, and excited anticipation for the week ahead.
Go to bed on time Sunday night so that you get a good night's sleep. This way you will not wake up Monday sluggish and feeling rushed.
Have an attitude of gratitude for living to see Monday. Somewhere in our world, someone went to sleep and didn't wake up. Expressing gratitude will help you feel less stressed, and happier.
Eat something healthy that is full of nutrients for your body. A power breakfast will give your body the energy needed to keep you moving and thinking clearly.
Get your body moving. Do some type of exercise that will get your heart pumping and release endorphins. They help you feel energetic and put you in state of euphoria. In addition, you have got your workout out of the way and you can now focus on other tasks.
When you get to work, make sure your environment is organized and clean. This workspace will help with your productivity.
Have an organized list of goals and priorities that need to be completed. Do this over your weekend and review it Monday morning.
Plan in some fun so you have something to look forward to. It can be guys/girls night out, Netflix and chill, a new class, perhaps even a date with your new love interest.
Have structure and be flexible if something is just not lining up. Perhaps there is a better time for it to work. You shouldn't have to force it.
Check out so that you give yourself some real time to rest, refresh your mind and body. That way you are not checking work emails, taking phone calls, and stressing over your tasks.
I hope you have a great Monday and a productive week. It is super important that you do your best in planning your week so that you stay pointed in the right direction. Always take a step, no matter how small, daily towards your goals.
