Happy 1st Friday

It's the 1st weekend of 2018. How are you doing? How are you enjoying your new year of opportunity? I hope you are making the necessary decisions to move you closer to your goals. It is so important that you work towards something. Have a fantastic weekend and remember to work hard today. Sometimes Fridays are a bit of a relaxation day, though, not for you since you are pursuing something greater in your life.

-If you are not working to lose weight make sure you share this with someone you know is working to lose it. -Change some of the foods that you eat. It does not necessarily mean that if you quit any particular food that you will automatically lose weight. You just want to make sure you are getting the most nutrients in your body based on the amount of daily calories you consume. -For example, let's say you need to consume 2000 calories per day. You can easily get half of those from a couple slices of pizza or a few donuts with a frosty. You can also get those calories from eating a whole wheat turkey sandwich filled with lettuce, tomatoes, spinach, avocado, and a drizzle of vinaigrette. On the side, with that sandwich, you can have baked sweet potato fries, broccoli stems, orange slices, and a large glass of water. In this example, the nutrients are much different in regards of what is available for your body to use. -That being said, it makes sense to limit added sugars found in items such as cookies, cakes, and sugary drinks because often they have a lot of calories but few nutrients. One way to lose weight quickly is to limit or cut out soda, and alcohol. You can replace them with lemon water, unsweetened tea, or black coffee.
